Shooting at Art Festival in New Jersey Leaves 22 Injured, 1 Suspect Dead

Several people are recovering from gunshot wounds in New Jersey following a gang shootout at all-night art festival.

Investigators say it all started when several rival gangs started shooting at each other just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

22 people were injured, 17 are being treated for gunshot wounds.

More than 1,000 people were at the event.

Police shot and killed one suspect, Tahaji Wells, who was on parole for a homicide related charge.

Another suspect, Amir Armstrong is charged with a weapons offense and a third unidentified suspect is in critical condition.

Police say they asked event organizers to shut the event down right before the shooting because they felt it was getting out of control.
