What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Father’s Day Events

Spoil your father this weekend with a variety of events and activities across Northern Michigan, with everything from boats and cars to golf and bourbon.

Courtney Sheffer with the West Michigan Tourist Association gives us a look at what’s ahead.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate Father’s Day this weekend.

The Inland Seas Education Association in Suttons Bay is hosting a special two-hour sail for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17.

As a special for Father’s Day, sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters can sail for free with their fathers or grandfathers.

Father’s Day in Cheboygan includes the Hot Cars & Cool Crafts event on June 15 & 16.

Come see the hot cars from yesteryear decked out in all their glory on Main Street, and then stroll down the block to Washington Park to check out all the cool crafts at the Cheboygan Area Craft Show.

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is celebrating Father’s Day with a special brunch on June 17 and the “Golf Your Daylights Out” event from June 17-24, with the opportunity to squeeze in as many rounds of golf as you like, all day long.

And just in time for Father’s Day, Northern Latitudes Distillery in Lake Leelanau is releasing their first bourbon.

The Latitudes Straight Bourbon Whiskey has been six years in the making, and it’s finally available and on sale at the distillery!
