Petoskey City Council Beginning Trial Period for Food Trucks

You will have even more options for good food in Petoskey after a vote by the city council.

Food trucks have been becoming more popular, and now you could see six new ones within the city.

For months, the Petoskey City Council has been debating and working on a resolution for a trial period to allow licensed food trucks.

Monday night they unanimously approved the resolution to try it out this year and next year.

They are taking applications for up to six food trucks at four locations.

“I think it’s going to be a positive addition, but keep in mind this is a trial period. We’re going to go this year and next year and we’ll evaluate it again as we go into next year,” said Petoskey Parks & Recreation director, Kendall Klingelsmith.

If you want to apply, head to the city hall for an application.
