On the latest episode of the MISportsNow Podcast, sports photojournalist and producer Greg Miller has a one-on-one interview with former Detroit Lions kicker and Super Bowl XXVIII champion Eddie Murray.
Murray, along with other former Lions Jeff Chadwick, Eric Hipple and Rich Stringer were recently in Clare for an event with the Boy and Girls Club.
Drafted by Lions in the seventh round out of Tulane in the 1980 NFL Draft, Murray spent two decades in the NFL, including 12 seasons with the Lions. Murray also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings. Murray was a two-time pro bowler with the Lions and won a Super Bowl with the Cowboys in 1994. He currently ranks 20th all-time in NFL history in points scored.
Miller sat down with Murray to discuss his career, kickers in the hall of fame and changes to kickoff procedures in the NFL.
