Two Accused Murderers on Run After Escaping a South Carolina Jail

Two accused murderers are still on the loose Tuesday morning after escaping from a South Carolina jail on Saturday and they are considered dangerous.

Tyshon Johnson and Curtis Green escaped from the Orangeburg County Detention Center, Saturday night.

Police believe the inmates took advantage of an electrical short that caused the cell doors to open.

Then four inmates jumped one of the guards kicking, punching and pepper-spraying him.

On Sunday, police caught and arrested a third escapee, Christopher Boltin, about 18 miles north of the jail, along with his father who helped him.

The jail the inmates escaped from has been criticized in the past for having outdated technology.

Construction on a new state of the art facility is already underway.
