State Senate Passes Bills Allowing Confidential Addresses for Victims
The state senate unanimously passed a seven-bill package to help keep victims’ personal information private.
The bills allow victims of domestic violence, stalking or sexual assault to have their addresses re-classified as confidential.
They would get a state mailing address and an agency would then forward the mail to their home.
Supporters says it would help victims stay away from those who want to do them harm.
The bills will now head to the state house.
