Sweeney Todd Takes The Spotlight At Interlochen Center For The Arts

Students at Interlochen Center For The Arts will be stepping into character for Sweeney Todd this weekend.

Friday is open night at the art school.

Sweeney Todd is a musical released in the late 1900’s. It’s about a barber who’s been wronged and sentenced to prison.

The judge says he sentenced Todd because he had eyes for Sweeney’s wife.

He takes revenge on the judge by opening his barber shop again.

Todd plots with his barber shop neighbor to find a solution that will help them both.

It’s a weekend full of lasts in Interlochen.

It’s the last student show of the season, and it’s David Montee’s last show at Interlochen Center for the Arts after directing at the school for 30 years.
