Police Arrest Man for Breaking and Entering, Homicide in Mackinac County
Michigan State Police are investigating a death in Mackinac County after being called to a residence on the report of a suspicious person in Moran.
The Mackinac County Sheriff’s Department says a man entered a home without permission through a back door.
That was when a homeowner confronted him and notified dispatch.
When the deputy and trooper arrived on scene, they detained the suspect who had blood on his clothes and at one point started taking off his clothes when he walked outside.
It was during an investigation with the suspect that the deputy and trooper learned that he had possibly committed a homicide at a nearby residence.
That’s when Police say they checked the residence and found a deceased man inside.
The suspect has been arrested for breaking and entering and homicide.
The suspect was taking to Mackinac Straits hospital for evaluation and then later lodged in the Mackinac County Jail.
