Fire Destroyed Harrison Home While Owners Out of Town

A Harrison Fire Department firefighter was on his way to a fire-alarm call when he noticed flames coming out of this home.

It is now destroyed.

By the time he pulled up, the department says flames were already spilling out of the roof.

And shortly after he entered the home, the roof collapsed.

He was able to get out, but the home is a loss.

The department says the owners were out of town and no one was hurt.

Assistant Fire Chief Buster Vasher says the collapse is not making the investigation easier.

“It looks like most of the flames started right inside the front door and went up from there, we haven’t been inside yet because the roof collapsed,” he says.

They’re still working to find a cause.
