Michigan State Police: Traffic Deaths Dropped in 2017
State police say traffic deaths dropped in 2017, but alcohol and drug related crashes are still a problem.
The stats show more than 1,000 people died in crashes last year.
That’s the second straight year deadly crashes have reached four figures in Michigan.
The number of alcohol-involved deadly crashes jumped 32 percent.
State police say that rise could be because of better data collecting than in previous years.
