City of Cadillac Hosting Clean-Up Event

The city of Cadillac is preparing to welcome in the summer season by hosting a city-wide clean-up event.

This is the city’s 24th Annual Clean-Up, aiming to keep things tidy along the lakefront, Cadillac Commons and other parks in the area.

The event will take place May 12 starting around 9 a.m.

It’s expected to last until about noon.

As a thank you to all who participate, the city will then host a barbecue at Kenwood Park.

“It’s a community fellowship. People come together doing something good for the community, and everybody that does come out loves the parks and all the activities that go on down there,” said Al Dumond, parks, forestry and cemetery superintendent. “So I think it is just drawing together for a common cause of something that is good for the entire city.”

The clean-up is expected to go on, regardless of the weather
