Former Central Michigan University PBS Station to Stop Broadcasting
A former Central Michigan University PBS station is about to go off the air.
Flint-based WCMZ-TV will stop broadcasting on Monday.
CMU sold the station for $14 million through a Federal Communications Commission auction last year.
The university says they’ll use the money to provide academic and career advice, scholarship money and work opportunities to students.
They also say the vast majority of users will still be able to watch other PBS stations in the area.
This does not affect WCMU-TV, which will continue to stay on the air.
