Missaukee County Accident Injures 3 People, 1 Airlifted

Three people were injured Thursday night following a two-car accident in Missaukkee County.

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Department tells us it responded to the accident this afternoon at Falmouth and South Morey Roads.

Three people were involved—a 63-year-old Traverse City man, a 22-year-old Lake City man—and another Lake City passenger whose age is unknown

The 22-year-old was airlifted to Traverse City Munson Hospital.

Their names aren’t known yet.

“At about quarter to 4 p.m. we got a report of a two-car accident with multiple injuries at the corner of Falmouth and 66 in Richland, Township of Missaukee County.  We aren’t sure why the car failed to yield. We are still trying to piece this accident together.  It does not appear at this time that alcohol was involved in the accident,” says Missaukee County Sheriff Jim Bosscher.
