Big Little Hero Race In Traverse City Postponed

The Annual Big Little Hero Race has been postponed to Saturday, April 21.

It’s a race put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Northwestern Michigan and Northwestern Michigan College.

Bigs and Littles will be dressed as their favorite superheroes as they run around NMC’s campus.

However, the real heroes here don’t need the capes.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Michigan has paired hundreds of people in the communities who are their heroes not only on race day–but every day.

The race honors a new group each year.

This year it’s honoring Blair Elementary School.

NMC’s Professional Communications class has been working diligently all semester to help make this race happen.

Students have been learning how to craft professional letters and reach out to professionals in the community hoping to support the silent auction.

The silent auction includes a one-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge and a handful of other gift cards and prizes from local businesses.
