Grilled Cheese Rollups

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices bread of your choice with crusts cut off (I like Sour Dough)
  • 8 slices of cheese, your choice (I like Colby Jack and Mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Directions:

Grab a rolling pin and flatten bread squares to 1/4-inch.

Put cheese slice on top of each slice of bread, and roll them up.

Melt two tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add roll ups to the skillet, 2 at a time, cooking until all sides are toasty and the cheese has melted.

Serve right away with your favorite soup to dip in!

 

Grilled Black Pepper Cheddar and Pepper Jack On Marble Rye

Directions:

Cook bacon in pan until crispy and thoroughly browned. Set aside to drain grease.

In the same pan add a portion of butter to the existing bacon grease.

Layer bread with several slices of ham, black pepper cheddar, pepper jack, sandwiching the bacon between several slices.

Brown and melt in pan.

 

Grilled Cheese with Apple Slices

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat bread or thick Texas toast
  • Cheddar, Swiss and provolone cheese
  • Thin green apple slices

Method:

Make it like a normal grilled cheese!

 

Mom’s Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices of your choice
  • Velveeta cheese
  • Butter

Interior topping suggestions:

  • Ham
  • Pickles
  • Tomato
  • Cooked bacon

Directions:

Butter the bread slices and place buttered side down on medium heat.

Place slice of Valveeta Cheese and toppings of your choice inside.

Put other buttered slice on top and flip as needed until cheese is melted and bread slices are toasted.
