April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The Wexford-Missaukee Child Protection Council honors that each year with the Pinwheels For Prevention walk through downtown Cadillac.

The walk starts at 4 at Toy Town, and walkers will plant pinwheels a few blocks away at the corner of Harris and Mitchell Street.

The goal of the walk is to raise awareness and prevent child abuse.

The Wexford-Missaukee Child Protection Council will host a movie viewing of “Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope” at the Cadillac Area Public Schools Auditorium on April 19th, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
