Osceola County Standoff Suspect to be Charged

The man involved in an Osceola County standoff is expected to be charged Monday after police say he threatened to kill his wife and deputies.

The standoff started Sunday night at a home on Lakola Road in Leroy Township.

The undersheriff tells us a woman was in her home when her estranged husband came in unexpectedly with a gun and threatened her.

He says while the woman ran away, the man fired the gun.

It’s not clear if he shot at her, but she was not hurt.

When deputies surrounded the home, the undersheriff says the man threatened to kill any officer that approached.

After six hours, he eventually surrendered and was arrested.
