New Chief Deputy Director at Michigan Agriculture Department

The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development has a new man in charge.

Ken McFarlane was selected as the department’s next chief deputy director.

McFarlane has a background in civil engineering, working as a consultant in the field before starting work at the state agriculture department in 2014.

He became deputy director in February 2016, where he has since overseen three separate divisions at the department.

McFarlane will start serving as chief deputy director Monday, March 26.
