Traverse City’s State Theatre Free Spring Break Series Kicks Off

Interested in seeing free movies all of spring?

The annual spring break at The State Theatre began Friday.

The State Theatre and Bijiou by the Bay in Traverse City are welcoming spring breakers.

It started with a free showing of “Babe.”

This is an opportunity for anyone in the area unable to get away for spring break to see a movie at either theatre for free.

Movies are shown through next week, ending March 30 with a bonus matinee showing of star wars force awakens.

TC Film Festival creative director Meg Weichman says she hopes people get to enjoy all the free entertainment.

“We have an incredible selection this year of some of the biggest and the best from last year, all-time favorites and so I hope they enjoy the film they enjoy the experience here. It’s a good way to get downtown and hang out with friends family and neighbors,” Weichman said.

Tickets for the movies are available in person or online.
