Cheboygan, Iosco, Presque Isle County Cattle Possibly Exposed to Bovine Tuberculosis
State officials have designated portions of three Northern Michigan counties as potential high-risk areas for bovine tuberculosis.
Michigan’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says the areas exposed are parts of Cheboygan, Iosco and Presque Isle counties.
The recent move came after four whitetail deer were found and tested positive for the fatal illness.
Cattle must be tested within six months in the affected areas.
