The Little Fleet Hosts Chili Cook Off For Bay Area Recycling For Charities

Many people enjoying all kinds of chili Sunday at The Little Fleet in Traverse City, and it was all to support Bay Area Recycling for Charities.

Back in January the nonprofit’s Kaleva plant was destroyed by a fire with tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

The Little Fleet hosted the chili cook off fundraiser.

People got to try five different chilies from local Traverse City restaurants for $5.

That money then goes to the fire relief fund for BARC.

Founder Andy gale was happy to see so many people come support them.

“I think it’s just a fun way to fundraise instead of just always looking to put out the basket for money. We have these great organizations that offer to help us and it promotes what they do to,” says Gale.

People also got to enjoy live music and desserts.
