Part of M-113, M-186 Back Open After Car Slide Off, Down Power Line

UPDATE: Both roadways are back open to traffic.


Two Northern Michigan highways are back open to traffic Friday morning after a car slid through an intersection, taking some power lines with it.

More than 300 power customers in Grand Traverse and Kalkaska counties are now without electricity.

It happened early Friday morning at the intersection of M-113 and M-186 near Fife Lake in Grand Traverse County.

Power lines were down over the road as a result of the accident, creating a dangerous situation.

It’s not clear if there were any injuries in the crash.
