Gunman, 3 Hostages Dead At California Veteran’s Home

Police held a press conference on the hostage situation at a veterans’ home in Yountville.

They say the gunman, along with the three hostages, are dead.

Police say they hadn’t been in contact with the gunman for nearly ten hours before making the discovery around 6 p.m. Friday.

The facility in Yountville is the largest veterans’ home in the U.S.

The facility and its 1,000 residents were still on lockdown at nightfall.

It all started earlier when police got a call about shots fired inside the facility.

When deputies showed up, they exchanged fire with the suspect.
