Michiganders Ranked in Forbes 2018 List of World’s Billionaires
Forbes is out with its 2018 ranking of the world’s billionaires.
The company ranked more than 2,000 people, with Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos topping the list, followed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
Several Michiganders also made the list.
Here’s a look at Michigan’s top five.
Falling in at number 242 is Hank and Doug Meijer, brothers and co-chairmen of the Michigan-based grocery chain Meijer. Their net worth is listed at about $6.8 billion.
Next is Dan Gilbert in 274th place. Gilbert co-founded Quicken Loans, the largest online mortgage lender. His net worth is estimated at about $6.3 billion.
Coming in at number 351 is Richard DeVos, co-founder of Amway. He’s estimated to be worth about $5.4 billion.
The 372nd place spot goes to Marian Ilitch, who built Little Caesars Pizza with her late husband, Mike. Ilitch also owns the Detroit Red Wings and the Motor City Casino. Her net worth stands at about $5.2 billion.
Falling in at 382 is Ronda Stryker, director of medical equipment company Stryker Corporation. Forbes listed her net worth at about $5.1 billion.
