Jared Kushner’s Access Downgraded by The White House

All staff members at the White House working under “interim top secret security clearance” are getting their access downgraded.

This includes President Trump’s senior advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

He had been granted interim access to information because the FBI background check was delayed.

It was delayed because Kushner had to re-file his paperwork three times due to undisclosed contacts with foreign nationals.

White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly, put these new clearance rules in place after former staff secretary Rob Porter’s background check revealed domestic abuse allegations.

He was working in the White House with interim top security clearance while the FBI completed his background check.

It’s not clear how long the downgraded security clearances will last.

The FBI is expected to finish Kushner’s background check within the next month.
