Two Arrested for Breaking Into Clare County Barn

A 17-year-old among the pair arrested for allegedly breaking into and trying to steal from a Clare County barn.

Seventeen-year-old Zachary Hidey and 25-year-old Travis Finks are now charged with breaking and entering in the case.

It started 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning when deputies were called to West Muskegon road in Summerfield Township while a break-in was happening.

When deputies got there, they say they saw two people in ski-masks running out of a barn.

A K-9 unit caught the two.

Deputies recovered several stolen items including generators and chainsaws.

The sheriff’s office believes the pair could be responsible for other recent break-ins in the area.
