Guns N Hoses Benefit Hockey Game Brings in Record Breaking Donations

The numbers are in following the Guns N Hoses 5th annual hockey game in Traverse City this weekend.

Each year, a person in need is chosen and local law enforcement and firefighters battle it out on the ice in their honor.

The family benefiting this year is the Banton family, whose wife and mother is battling Stage IV breast cancer.

With more than 1,400 people coming out, the total amount of money collected was just over $19,125.

This beat the record by more than $3,000.

Team Fire came out on top 9-4 with a 3-2 series lead.

While Team Fire took the win, the event was an overall victory for the community.
