Traverse City Restaurant Week Kicks Off

“It’s always a fun week for us, it gives our chefs a chance to be creative, do something maybe outside the box,” said co-owner of 7 Monks Taproom, Jim Smolak.

For all of the foodies out there, now is your chance to try out all of the great restaurants Traverse City has to offer.

Restaurant Week in Traverse City started on Sunday and it’s your chance to try some new food, at an affordable price.

40 restaurants in the area provide a special three-course menu for either $25 or $35.

This gives restaurants a chance to create something new and gives you the chance to try something new.

Restaurant Week goes through March 3rd, and reservations are encouraged at each place.

7 Monks Taproom participates every year and this year, they won’t disappoint.

“It’s a three course meal, ours is $25,” said Smolak. “There’s a salad and soup for the first course, a steak filet and scallops and a vegetarian meal for the second course and then we’re finishing with a chocolate mousse that we make with Right Brain CEO Stout.”
