Neil Diamond Diagnosed With Parkinson’s Disease

Entertainer Neil Diamond has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

He is now calling it a career.

The neurodegenerative disorder can cause tremors, slowness of movement and other symptoms

Because of his diagnosis, the 76-year-old singer says he is retiring from touring.

Diamond is known for such hits as “Sweet Caroline.”

The singer had been planning concerts in Australia and New Zealand as a part of his 50th anniversary tour.

According to the statement, those performances have been canceled.

Diamond says he still plans to continue writing and recording.
