Cadillac Police Department Gets Drug Drop Box
The Cadillac Police Department is now offering people a safe place to dispose of their prescription drugs.
The Rite Aid Foundation and Kid Cents grant helped them secure a drug drop box.
The department received the drop box at no cost.
The two organizations are partnering with law enforcement agencies in an effort to reduce waste and keep dangerous medications out of the hands of kids and teens.
Captain Eric Eller says he hopes the box does just that.
“We have been running into larcenies from cars, homes getting broken into where they are leaving money, but taking prescription drugs. Like I said, this gives someone a safe avenue to dispose of their unwanted medication,” says Eller.
The drop box is in the lobby of the Cadillac Police Department.
