Sault Seal Recreation Area Opens for the Season
Kids in Sault Ste. Marie were having a blast on Wednesday, the first day the Sault Seal Recreation Area was open.
The city owned winter recreation facility features seven tubing hills and two ski and snowboard trails, including a terrain park for the most daring.
The city was waiting for just another foot of snow before they could open it and they got that over the past couple of days.
They say the area is a great resource to have in the community.
“It’s just great, because there is not a lot to do in a small town like this, it’s a good opportunity for people to get together and it’s something to do and its affordable,” Supervisor Kyler Reattoir, said.
For city residents a season pass costs $100, whereas out of city residents will have to pay just $30 more.
