Onekama’s M22 Grill Celebrating Christmas by Feeding the Community
A Manistee County restaurant is giving back to the community that has supported them for the past five years, by providing Christmas dinner.
With the help of Yellow Dog Cafe and Onekama Marine, the M22 Grill is gave meals to the first 200 people in need on Christmas Day.
Those people were given a full spread, including ham, potatoes, salad and dessert.
All tips and donations will be given to the St. Joseph Community Food Pantry.
M22 Grill owner John Blackman said, “There’s a lot of people in the area that are older, that their relatives are not in the area. So they are home alone and we felt this would be a way to get them together and have a nice meal, or people that need a meal or that just didn’t want to cook come on out and eat.”
M22 Grill says they hope to make this an annual event.
