Christmas, New Year’s Holiday Travels Pick Up At Cherry Capital Airport

Whether you’re traveling by car or plane, you can expect the holiday rush to be everywhere.

While TVC might not be as busy compared to the summer months, things definitely pick up during the holidays.

Cherry Capital Airport tells us it’s important to arrive at least 90 minutes early and not to wrap gifts you’re traveling with.

For Thanksgiving, the airport almost doubled the number of travelers and they expect the same for Christmas and New Year’s.

“We expect that to go through the next couple of days and then it’ll kind of quiet down on the actual Christmas holiday, pick up mid-week next week and then quiet down for the New Year’s holiday and then back at it the first of January when all the students come back to school,” said airport director Kevin Klein.
