Gov. Snyder Signs Legislation Delaying Increase in Motorcycle Fees

Governor Rick Snyder signed a law delaying the registration and safety training fee hike for motorcyclists.

The hikes were originally supposed to go into effect two months ago.

With the signing, some will go into next month, others in 2018 and more in 2019.

It raises the registration fee to $25, an increase of $2.

The initial endorsement fee is now $16 dollars, with renewals gradually rising from $5 to $9.

The money goes toward motorcycle safety education and a new awareness program.
