National Cherry Festival Partners With CherryT Ball Drop New Year’s Eve Event

When you think of the National Cherry Festival, you probably think of a fun event during the summer.

But they actually work year round on several community events.

This year they’re partnering with the CherryT Ball Drop event in Traverse City on New Year’s Eve.

Along with the fun family event, they also team up with local charities to fill food pantries during a time they need it most.

The partnership is a perfect fit.

“We are excited to support the event, we have in the past traditionally as volunteers but now we’re coming in a little bit more of an operational role and assisting with the set up and tear down and some of the preplanning,” says executive director for the National Cherry Festival, Kat Paye.

if you’re interested in volunteering, the sign up will be active on Monday, December 11.
