AAA Predicts Increase In Michiganders Traveling For Thanksgiving

If you’re planning to hit the road for thanksgiving, you’re not alone.

AAA is predicting this will be the busiest Thanksgiving travel weekend in a decade in Michigan.

And for many, the traveling starts Wednesday.

AAA says more than 1.6 million people living in Michigan will travel 50 miles or more for turkey and all the trimmings this year.

That’s about a 3.5 percent increase over last year, and the most travelers since 2007.

Driving is the most popular way to go, but many will also travel by plane or train.

The Thanksgiving travel period starts Wednesday and ends Sunday.
