GM Recalls Nearly 49,000 Truck to Fix Fuel Tank Issue

General Motors is recalling nearly 49,000 trucks worldwide to fix a fuel tank issue that can potentially cause fires.

The recall covers duel fuel tank Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 3500 trucks from the 2011 through 2015 model years.

The U.S. government released documents Thursday detailing issues with a fuel sensor in one of the tanks, which can cause a fuel leak.

GM says it has not received any reports of injuries from the problem.
