Mason County Man Accused of Fighting With Deputies While Drunk, Covered in Deer Blood

A Mason County man is in jail after the sheriff says he fought with deputies while drunk and covered in deer blood.

It happened Monday afternoon on east U.S. 10 in Custer Township just before 3.

Deputies say when they found Roy Purple. He yelled and charged at them.

They say four other people were all at the home and drunk.

They learned the blood came from a deer that had been hit and killed and the people were cooking it.

Purple was arrested on charges of resisting and obstructing.
