Barack Obama Reports For Jury Duty In Chicago

Former President Barack Obama is reporting for jury duty.

Obama arrived at a Chicago courthouse Wednesday, shaking hands with other potential jurors.

Many of them praised the former president for not trying to get out of jury duty.

But he was let off the hook, a Cook County judge says the former president was not selected.

Obama is not the first former president to be called for jury duty.

In 2015, George W. Bush reported for jury duty in Texas, but was not selected either.

Just like every other juror, Obama was paid $17.20 for his service.
