Forest View Elementary School Celebrates Blue Ribbon Award

An exciting morning for Forest View Elementary school in Cadillac, as they celebrated their Blue Ribbon award.

Students and staff were applauded as they entered the high school for an assembly.

The Blue Ribbon Award is a national award.

Forest View was one of 13 schools in the state to receive this honor.

The award is based on test scores and more.

Forest View won because their academic excellence from both teachers and students.

Monday, they were able to celebrate that success.

“It was really fun, I think the best part of the assembly was we welcomed the kids to a red carpet walk, we gave them all sunglasses and the applause, because we really want them to know its them living up to the expectations that the adults in the building set,” says Carrie Paulen, Principal.

Former principal Matt Brown and teacher Judy Simmons will be accepting the Blue Ribbon award in Washington D.C.
