Rotary Club Hosts “World Fair” for Students Interested in Traveling Abroad

Rotary exchange students from countries across the world hosted a world fair today to show student interested in traveling abroad their cultures.

Students who have lived in the United States hoped to encourage others here to spend time studying abroad.

Rotary District 6290 hosted the event at Kettunen Center with the goal of expanding communities and opening horizons for students.

Countries like Japan, Italy, Finland and more were represented to perspective exchange students.

One student who went abroad had this to say to those who may be interested.

“It’s all worth it.. it’s worth missing home because you can come back home and the experiences you it’s a once and a lifetime kind of thing” said Alexa Watkin

If you are interested in going abroad you do have to be high school age and must be in the top third of your class to qualify.
