Bomb Scare Prompts Lockdown at Hesperia Middle School
A frightening situation for one Northern Michigan school that was placed on lockdown Wednesday due to a bomb scare.
Hesperia Community Schools says the lockdown was triggered at the middle school after a student brought a small silver case into the cafeteria claiming it was a bomb.
While the case turned out to be empty, the district prompted a lockdown so law enforcement could sweep the building in search of any possible threats.
Nothing was found during the sweep and the lockdown was lifted.
