Crews are investigating an early morning house fire in Traverse City.
The fire started just after 3:00 a.m. Monday on Washington Street near south Garfield Avenue.
Crews were on the scene for about two and a half hours.
The home owner was able to leave the house safely and no one was hurt.
The chief says the fire may have been caused by an electrical problem in the attic.
The home had minor water and smoke damage.
