Woman Found Not Guilty By Insanity For Stabbing Baby and Herself in Manistee

Angela Montney was found not guilty by reason of insanity after police say she stabbed her baby then herself.

In December, police found her covered in blood in Manistee and her eight month old with life threatening injuries.

The child survived and is now in foster care.

Montney was facing charges of first degree child abuse with intent to murder.

She’ll be back in court in the next two months for an evaluation and sentencing.
