What’s Growing With Tom: Week 16

We are enjoying the last days of summer heat as the weather garden holds its own. That won’t last through with the cold making a return this week.

This summer most of the plants did well, but not incredible. Tomatoes, zucchini, peppers and green carrots did well for a while, but some turned for the worse in early August.

Morgan Composting came in and made a difference.

The fertilizer and late summer heat really popped the zucchini and tomatoes. The carrots were pencil wide and are now about normal!

This year I learned how to plant better for next year, making sure larger plants won’t overgrow the smaller ones.

Next year, I’ll start earlier going over making a better garden bed so the crop is so much better.
