Traverse City’s Peace, Love And Little Donuts Reflects on First Northern Michigan Summer

Labor Day Weekend is the very last holiday weekend of the summer and brings a close to the seasonal rush for businesses.

While Northern Michigan does have tourists in the cooler months, nothing compares to the summer, especially in Traverse City.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts opened its doors last December and just had its first Traverse City summer experience.

Now that the extremely busy season is coming to an end it’s a time to reflect and make plans for next year.

Manager Steve Lorde says, “It helps me staffing wise. I was literally flying by the seat of my pants this summer because I didn’t know what to expect. I overstaffed for sometimes, but very rarely understaffed.”

Peace, Love and Little Donuts says they’ve learned summer business is unpredictable and to roll with the punches.
