Volkswagen Recalls 281,000 Cars Over Engine Issue

Volkswagen is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

The automaker says it’s recalling nearly 281,000 of its CC and Passat sedans and wagons.

The recall covers the CC 2009 through 2016 model years and the Passat sedan and wagon 2006 through 2010 model years.

VW says the fuel pump control computer can lose electrical power, which can stop gas from flowing causing the engine to stall.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified when replacement parts are available.
