M-STEP Results Show Students More Proficient in Math; Less Proficient in Reading
The state’s M-STEP results are in and it’s good news for several subjects, including math and social studies.
The results show that Michigan students are more proficient in math and social studies after recent statewide standardized tests.
But, students are less proficient in reading and English language arts scores have also dropped in four of the five grades tested.
The state is working to create a new state testing system, one that takes less time and benchmarks progress throughout the academic year.
