A Newaygo County woman will spend the rest of her life in prison for killing her husband.
A judge sentenced Glenna Duram to life in prison without the possibility of parole Monday morning.
Northern Michigan’s News Leader had the only T.V news camera in the courtroom.
Glenna was found guilty last month of killing her husband Marty at their home back in May of 2015.
Marty’s mother spoke at the sentencing and says she’ll truly never understand why the murder happened.
His father says the family will remember all the times they shared with Marty to make sure he’s never forgotten.
“We’re going to get over it, we’re going to go on with our lives, the only problem is there’s going to be a lot of times Marty’s going to come out and we’re going to live with it. I close my eyes, I remember hunting with him, I remember the stuff we done together,” said Marty’s father Charles
Glenna’s attorney says they plan to file an appeal.
