Honor Hosts 2017 Auto Show

The Benzie County community, supporting their high school football teams by showing off some classic cars.

Around 50 cars parked at Platte River Elementary School for the 2017 Auto Show.
Dozens of admirers from across Northern Michigan walked around to check out everything from old pick up trucks to Camaros.
Part of the proceeds from the Auto Show go towards helping the Benzie Central football teams.
The JV Football Coach says shrinking school budgets make it hard on their programs, but he’s thankful for the community support.

"Our community in particular realizes how tough it is for our school system to help out all our athletic programs so generally when we do have an event it’s supported very well throughout the community," Butch Adkins said.
The auto show raised about 750 dollars for the football teams.
The money will go towards equipment and traveling expenses.
